If you have been following us for a while, you may remember that about this time last year we (Jenn’s family) moved into a new house. Well, actually, a pretty old house, but new to us. You can find the house story here.

When we first toured the house, I was hesitant. It had 4 bedrooms, but only 1 full bathroom. While I loved the home and the property, I was not excited about all 4 (now 5!) of us sharing a bathroom. As we continued our tour of the house, we came into an awkward sunroom, off of the master bedroom. Three walls of windows, including a drafty, old sliding glass door. The owner of the house, who was showing it to us, said that she always thought about turning that sunroom into a bathroom. I was sold right then! I get to make my own bathroom, with lots of light and plenty of space. Sign me up!

There were a few logistical things to figure out, like how to put a shower in a room with more windows than walls. We ended up changing the window on one wall to be smaller and make it possible to shower without being exposed to the whole neighborhood. I did so much Pinterest-ing to figure out where and how to put mirrors in front of windows. It took much longer than we anticipated, but it was worth it. I love the solutions that we found for each challange. From the antique clawfoot tub we bought when it was outside covered in dirt to the tiny details of the curtains, I love it all. Here is a little peak into our bathroom.

I’ll link to all of the details at the bottom of this post. The tile is amazing and way more affordable than you would imagine 🙂
