It all started with this photo!!

I’m so excited to share these photos with you guys! We shared Jamie + Ethan’s story back when we posted their engagement photos, but it’s such a great one… we’re sharing it again!!

Five years ago, Jamie was in the Notre Dame Marching Band. Ethan was on the cheerleading team. After one fateful football game during their senior year, Jamie asked Ethan to take a picture with her on the field (above!) She thought it was just as friends, but Ethan knew it was the start of something more (Jamie also realized this… just a few months and slices of carrot cake later).

After graduation, Jamie went to medical school in Texas and Ethan headed to southern California to teach middle school. After 3 years of long distance dating they finally found themselves in the same city—Boston! Ethan was in his second year of medical school at Boston University when Jamie was accepted to participate in a research fellowship there. During the next year, they happily filled their study breaks together. One day, while on vacation in Oregon, Ethan finally proposed! Jamie said ‘yes’ and they celebrated by watching a whale breach along the coastline to congratulate them.
